Real Bride in Newport with The Endless Rose Veil
There’s nothing quite like a New Orleans wedding—full of soul, style, and celebration. Our stunning real bride Abigail brought all of that and more to her big day, wearing the effortlessly elegant Newport gown paired with a custom The Endless Rose lace bolero and veil by Anne Barge.
From the intricate detail of her custom lace bolero to the soulful echoes of a second line marching through the city's historic neighborhoods, every element of this wedding was a testament to the power of blending personal style with cherished traditions.
Here is what Abigail had to say about her wedding dress shopping experience at Anne Barge New York:
"My bridal shopping experience was a dream! We started in New Orleans and hit a few shops in and around the area. The first boutique we stopped in carried Anne Barge and, actually, the Newport gown was the very first dress I tried on and I loved it!
But, I’m not the type of girl to just take the first dress I try and go - I needed to try on all the options. I believe we hit a total of 4 stores before heading into Anne Barge - New York Flagship. After all 4 stores, nothing compared to the way I felt in the Newport dress. I loved the shape of the dress but always knew I wanted to add a bolero to give it a little extra detail.
We worked with Amanda at Anne Barge and she helped me design my dream dress! The Endless Rose lace was a dream over the white mikado silk of the Newport dress. To my knowledge, a high neck long sleeve bolero had never been made in the Endless Rose lace, so to try it on I actually had to wear two dresses on top of one another and use my imagination to picture what it would look like once made. Anyone who knows me knew how much of a big deal this was to me!
I am a big fashion girl and so to get to feel like I had a unique, almost one-of-a-kind look was such a special feeling for me! About 10 months later I showed up for my first try-on and finally got to see what it looked like together. It was perfect! Jaw dropping! I got to wear it about 2 months before my big day for bridal portraits and couldn’t wait to put it back on for the wedding day.
It was everything I envisioned - timeless, delicate, flattering, sweet, and a total moment! The matching Endless Rose lace veil really tied the entire look together to create my dream dress. I know it’s a look that will never go out of style and that I’ll love forever. It truly made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world! After the second line, I got to take the bolero off, pull out the cuff of the Newport dress and it gave me an entirely different second look! Guests were shocked!"
